BRAKING CONTROL DEFINED
The black series Sinter 550 performance bicycle brake pads are designed for the no-compromise riders, off-road or on-road – while still maintaining long-lasting life! With the fine-tuned, slightly lowered friction coefficient they provide high levels of modulation for excellent control on steep, wet, tricky trails and roads.
The brake pads are fabricated from the S-550 semi-metallic compound, and they perform best with standard OEM non-floating or floating brake rotors.

Does SINTER 021 fit Magura MT5 / MT7?
Yes. SINTER 021 fits the Magura MT5 / MT7 series — MT5, MT5e, MT5eStop and MT7. The same pad also fits Magura MT Trail (F/W), Magura MTHeight and Magura MTNext.
Which compound should I choose for my Magura MT5-7?
Red s514 — Predictable all-round. Green s2032 — Brake late and hard. Blue s530 — E-bikes, heavy bikes, long descents. All compounds fit the same shape, so choose by riding style, not caliper. Black s550 is also available.
Are these pads organic or sintered?
SINTER 021 pads are organic: friction material bonded with resin, developed and made in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Organic pads bite quickly, run quietly and are gentle on rotors. Despite the name, Sinter only makes organic, resin-bonded brake pads.
How do I bed in new pads?
Every set ships with a bedding-in card. In short: clean and degrease the rotor, then find a traffic-free stretch. Ride at 15 km/h (10 mph) and brake 20 times down to 5 km/h. Then brake 10 times, harder, from 25 km/h (15 mph), and finally twice, hard, from 30 km/h (20 mph) — each time down to 5 km/h, never locking the wheels. This transfers an even film of pad material onto the rotor. Full instructions are in the Bedding-in guide.
